BIOGRAPHY
As a recitalist, Philip
Nagashima has performed in major concert venues in Germany, Austria, Italy,
Russia,
Ukraine, Japan and his
native, Taiwan. As a guest soloist, he has performed with Russian Federal
Orchestra,
Kharkov Philharmonic
Orchestra (Ukraine), Taiwan Symphony, Tokyo Rikkou-Gakubu Symphony Orchetrsa
and
Musashino Academia Musicae
Symphony Orchetstra (Tokyo). He has recorded Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto
No. 2 with Russian Federal
Orchestra.
Born into a musical family
in Taiwan, Philip Nagashima inherited pianistic style of the “Russian Golden
Age”
through prominent
teacher/pianists of our time, Vera Gornostaeva, and Julia & Konstantin
Ganev.
