With their passion for string quartet leading to the foundation of the multinational Pacific Quartet Vienna, the four musicians continue to enthuse audiences worldwide with their sensitive and warm sound alike.
In 2015, the PQV won the 1st prize, audience prize and special prize for the best interpretation of a work by Joseph Haydn at the 6th International Joseph Haydn Chamber Music Competition in Vienna. The quartet also was awarded the August Pickhardt Prize of the city of Basel in 2016 and the New Austrian Sound of Music Prize for 2018/19.
Highlights in the past concert season were the quartet’s debut in the Musikverein (Vienna) and Wigmore Hall (London) as well as Debut-CD and Radio productions for the Austrian label Gramola and the Swiss National Radio Broadcaster SRF. In 2018, the PQV has done two very successful tours in Italien and is looking forward tosome more concerts, such like the Brucknerhaus in Linz and the Styriate Festival in Graz. Also, the second CD of the quartet will be released in the autumn 2018.
Appearancesin renowned festivals such as the Haydn Festival in Rohrau, the Ravenna Festival, the Kalkalpen Festival or the Lucerne Festival, as well as regular concerts in the large halls of the world are just as much part of the tour schedule as privately organized house concerts.

In parallel with the quartet’s focus on classical composers of the 1stand 2ndViennese School, the Pacific Quartet Vienna has added intercultural exchange programs between Europe (Switzerland / Austria) and Asia (Japan / Taiwan) to their activities, resulting in extensive tours throughout the mentioned countries during recent years. In addition, the quartet has developed a special fairy-tale-concert program, which by children and adults can enjoy the sounds, language and philosophy of different cultures with fun and curiosity.
