He has performed widely as a soloist and chamber musician in Asia, Europe, South America, and the United States. Recent concerto performances include works by Beethoven, Brahms, Haydn, and Vivaldi in Korea, Russia and the US. He has also performed chamber music with Ida Kavafian, the Chester String Quartet, at the Tolyatti International Chamber Music Festival, and with members of the Cleveland Orchestra and Atlanta, Cincinnati, and Indianapolis Symphony Orchestras. With the American Piano Trio he has performed in Germany, Korea, Russia, Belarus, and the United Kingdom. A CD of works by American composers is soon to be released.

Formerly on the faculty of Eastern Michigan University, he has given master classes at many universities and conservatoires in the USA, Europe, Russia, and Korea - including Oberlin, the University of Michigan, and the St Petersburg Conservatory. In 2015, he taught at the International Cello Festival at the Universidad Nacional de Bogota in Colombia. His students have won competitions, attended major festivals (RoundTop, NRO, Aspen, Eastern) and have successfully auditioned to perform (either as a member or substitute) with numerous orchestras, including the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, New World Symphony (Miami), Civic Orchestra of Chicago, Columbus (OH) Symphony Orchestra, and Louisville Orchestra. Other former students are teaching at universities in both the US and Korea.

As an orchestral player he has worked extensively with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra, and Fort Wayne Philharmonic. He spent a summer as a fellow at the Tanglewood Music Festival, where he performed with the Boston Symphony Orchestra. He was also offered a fellowship to the Aspen Music Festival.

He holds degrees from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London (BM), the Cleveland Institute of Music (MM), and the University of Michigan (DMA). His principal teachers have included Richard Aaron, Anthony Elliott, Oleg Kogan, and Raphael Sommer. Further studies were with Eleanore Schoenfeld and Marc Coppey."
